We’re Sorry.

Unfortunately, we have decided to stop selling CBD hemp flowers for the foreseeable future. There has always confusion surrounding the sale of whole hemp flower, and what doesn’t help is the lack of input from any governing bodies.

Up until recently the only companies to have experienced any problems were the ones who owned shops and had them on display, which then gained the attention of their local police forces.

Also, the police’s responses to the sale of hemp flowers in their specific region varies widely with some viewing it as what it is; just hemp and others viewing it as illegal cannabis.

As far as we are aware there has only been one conviction for selling hemp flowers in the UK. However, there are more cases which are still underway and the outcome of those cases could give all companies that want to stock hemp flowers a better understanding of what they can and can’t do.

The feedback we have received is astonishing and many of our customers have swapped their medications such as high strength opiates to CBD hemp flower which is far less damaging to long term health and a safe natural alternative to many of the prescription drugs currently prescribed.

It wasn’t an easy decision to make, especially because it has affected the lives of hundreds of our loyal customers. However, we believe it was the right choice to protect what we have worked hard for over the past two years.

If you would like to read more about the laws surrounding CBD Hemp Flowers, below are a couple of resources to explain further.

Are CBD Flowers legal in the UK?

Here’s the tricky part. CBD Hemp Flowers which are legally-grown under strict regulations, are EU approved and do not concede more than 0.2% THC are considered legal. These laws however are about the cultivation of hemp and a license is required for this.

In regards to selling CBD flowers, there is still some uncertainty. If the buds are derived from legally-grown hemp and are cultivated from EU approved farms, this product is viewed as being exempt from the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 providing it has less than 1mg THC per finished product.

However, many still see CBD hemp flowers as a raw form of cannabis and should you be found storing this product, could be at risk of being prosecuted for being in possession of a Class B drug. In which some retailers have unfortunately experienced this.

In conclusion, products that contain CBD are legal. They must however, contain no more than 1mg of THC and must be grown legally. If grown within the UK, if the grower must have the license to do so.

The laws are not 100% clear and unfortunately some retailers being in possession of CBD hemp flowers have come under fire for this. We hope that as more CBD shops, both physical and online continue to pop up, the laws surrounding hemp flowers will become much clearer.
